Bipropellant valve in the center Merlin Engine got stuck during the landing burn, making the booster unable to properly correct its velocity, it crashed onto the deck on the drone ship.

SpaceX CRS-6, also known as SpX-6, was a Commercial Resupply Service mission to the International Space Station contracted to NASA. Dragon was berthed for just under 34 days before it successfully returned to Earth. 2,015kg of pressurized cargo were brought to the Space Station. This mission was flown by Dragon C108-1.
